Are schools doing enough to educate children on how to use the internet safely and securely?

I am not talking about anti-virus software, spyware, or firewalls. I am talking about divulging personal information or meeting people they have chatted with online.

In what appears to be a step in the right direction, the National Telecommunication Commission (NTC) will allow mobile phone users to register to a “not-to-text” database to prevent promotional messages from being sent to their phones via SMS.

I guess it was inevitable. Inq7 reports that the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) may lift the moratorium on commercial text messages.
I await (with a sense of dread and apprehension) the memorandum circular, which may be released “as early as next week,” according to NTC Chairman Ronald Solis.
