Acer’s newest entry-level Android phone, the Liquid Mini

Here’s another Android phone from Acer that’s going to be available by the end of the month. The Acer Liquid Mini is a simple yet colorful entry-level full touchscreen phone that might suit your needs. We don’t really know how the Liquid E fared in our country but here’s the mini version of it. It follows the same curves but on a smaller frame.

The Acer Liquid E features a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen with a 320 x 480 resolution. It is powered by a 600MHz processor and runs on Android 2.2 Froyo with Acer’s own UI layering on top of it. There’s a 5 megapixel camera at the back with no LED flash on sight and pretty much all the basic stuff an entry-level Android phone has.

It will arrive at the end of the month with a price tag estimated to be less than Php12,000 and will come in 5 different colors: Royal Blue, Jet Silver, Light Pink, Lime Green and Piano Black. It’s going to be a direct competitor of HTC’s upcoming Wildfire S in terms of specs. Cheaper but with a plastic build and last-year’s Android OS.

600 MHz ARM 11 processor, Adreno 200 GPU, Qualcomm MSM7227-1 chipset

how will this fair with other cheaper android phones? like samsung’s galaxy fit and mini? which will be a better bet if you’re on a tight budget but still want quality?

how would you compare Acer Liquid mini E310 to Dell Streak?

    • is this a trick question? those two shouldn’t be compared.

    • Do you know where can I buy this unit? Like stores or something?

      • I would like to know the answer to that too Ronn as amazon has all the accessories but seems to have forgotten to stock the phone?????? Perhaps Calvin can point us in the right direction? I did find a listing for it in India but thats a bit far away lol

  • If you’re thinking about getting this phone, grab it… I love the battery life, it keeps me going all day, if I’m not on facebook, then I’m using up all my free talk minutes and so far the battery only needs a charge once a day.

Is this available in SM Pampanga? Please answer my question Please

  • Awesome phone. Liking the larger screen. I have an HTC Incredible that I am about ready to upgrade. I was thinking going with the iPhone but these cooler new Android based phones might keep me in the Google camp a while longer.
