ASUS has earlier announced the world’s first quad-mode dual OS convertible, the ASUS Transformer Book Duet (TD300). This unique convertible can switch between Windows and Android in either laptop and tablet mode with a single push of the Instant Switch button – in just four seconds.
The ASUS Transformer Book Duet TD300 is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor, an Intel HD graphics and 4GB DDR3L 1600 RAM, allowing it to perform twice as fast as the ARM based tablets. It has a 13.3 inch 1920×1080 Full HD IPS multi-touch display and twin speakers whose audio is enchanced by ASUS SonicMaster technology.
The Transformer Book Duet TD300 has a front-facing HD camera with built-in digital mic and has a 128GB of SSD storage which can be supplemented by a 64GB Micro SD card. An additional 1TB hard disk drive is housed by the keyboard dock together with a USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, a LAN port, and HDMI 1.4 output with 1080p support.
The ASUS Transformer Book TD300 has 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 with EDR for connectivity. The tablet measures 342.7 x 216.3 x 12.9mm while the dock at 340.9 x 217.6 x 16mm. The ASUS Transformer Book Duet TD300 weighs around 1.9kg (with the dock).
