ASUS VivoBook X202E, 11.6-inch touchscreen notebook for just P20,995
How much would you pay for a portable 11.6-inch notebook with a multi-gesture touchscreen? How about Php20,995? Sounds like a good deal right? That’s the ViVoBook X202E for you, one of the latest Windows 8 notebooks from ASUS we spotted during the Windows 8 PH launch.
Actually, the VivoBook X202E comes in two configurations and with the aforementioned price you’ll get the Intel ULV Celeron 847 dual-core processor clocked at 1.10GHz. Just enough to give you a laptop for basic computing needs. There’s also a more expensive version packing a 3rd gen Intel Core processor.
The VivoBook follows ASUS’ recent notebook design with the brushed matte metallic lid and the wedge-shaped body with the rounded edges. The hinge is also designed in such a way that using the touchscreen won’t push the display backwards or tip the notebook over.
You’ll get 500GB HDD on the VivoBook and up to 4GB RAM. It is also equipped with ASUS SonicMaster technology for powerful and detailed sound and speakers that are designed for 14-inch or 15-inch notebooks. Ports include a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port, HDMI, VGA, and a headphone/mic combo.
The ASUS VivoBook X202E will be initially available in the Philippines by 1st week of November in two configurations. One with an Intel Core i3 Processor for Php26,995 and one with Intel Celeron Processor for Php 20,995.
At that price point, the VivoBook X202E is the most affordable touch-enabled Win 8 laptop we’ve seen so far.

ok lang ba 2 sa gaming?
ok lang ba 2 sa gaming? light lang ..
siguro if solitaire and minesweeper ang light gaming mo patok na patok yan.
+1, hehe..
Currently playable: Call of Duty series (on low settings) Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, Battlefield 3 (on low settings), FIFA 13 (mid settings), NBA 2K13 (mid settings), Diablo III (1366 x 768 resolution, mid settings)
Thanks for the info, bud!
What variant po? I3? Pentium? Celeron?
dito sa saudi meron.check mo yung jarirbookstore.com
Kaya kaya nito ang NBA 2K11?
Hey, this sounds like a winner!
Hmmm… no ODD but still weighs 1.3kg. That seems heavy
LOL! you don’t know the weight of a regular notebook with ODD?
Its around 2.1 – 2.4kg if you search around from different manufacturers.
at 1.3kg is already lighter by .05kg as the 13″ macbook air.
That VGA port looks glaring. If they removed that, do you think it would be a bit slimmer that it currently is?
BTW, is the Win 8 installed on this laptop the same for the Windows Surface Pro? I.e. will it be able to run new metro apps + old desktop apps?
Where can i buy it?
according to ASUS late November yung availability neto.
guys, saang store ako makakabili ng 20,995 lang nito?
late november pa ata ito darating sa stores.
sa accent micro 20k full package
out na to sa stores. meron na ang villman kaso ung celeron variant lang. do u think its a good buy?
yes if you dont need a powerful laptop, for 21k touchscreen na notebook mo. san ka pa.
Sabagay pero I’m just wondering kung ano ung full use ng touchscreen laptop sa windows8. Does it have games like nung sa apple and android?
yep… may mga apps and games that will utilize the touchscreen. and the main start screen of windows 8 is touch-friendly.
pwede kaya dito yuris revenge??
red alert? luma na yun malamang pwede na dito yun.
ok lang ba kahit intel celeron 847 processor nito?? marami kasi nagsasabi pangit daw gamitin celeron mabilis daw mag hang??
depende naman yan kung san mo gagamitin. baka pag magedit ka ng malaking file sa photoshop malamang babagal yung performance. just like i said, for basic computing purposes ito. browsing, word processing, facebook, etc.
Just ordered one from microsoft store online! i3 3rd gen version only 499 dollars or around 20,459 pesos!
From what site po? Kasama na shipping? How about the warranty? Daming tanong eh. Hehe
Hala. Sorry sir. Nakapost na pla kung saan. Di ko na binasa whole comment. Thanks for the info!

Nakita ko to sa Octagon store in Festival Mall and it’s really impressive.
But the downside is yung battery nya. 2-cell lang kasi eh. Also, can I play The Sims 3 and Left4Dead with a Celeron processor?
