Brother PH promotes advocacies through Relay for Life

Brother International Philippines Corporation recently participated in the Philippine Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, an annual race promoting cancer prevention and control.

About two-hundred employees and partners of Brother Philippines led by Brother Philippines president Glenn P. Hocson, and Deputy General Manager for Sales and Marketing Masao Kasagi walked around the Relay for Life 2015 venue around the track oval of the Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City.

“œOur company’s participation in activities like the Relay for Life 2015 has been one of the reasons why our employee engagement is high. They are happy that Brother is supporting a very worthy cause ““ that of creating awareness  for the fight against cancer.” said Hocson.

The PCS said that the support of Brother Philippines and other private and public entities is invaluable for cancer patients and their families, showing that they’re not alone. “œThe message of love from Brother and the other participants of this year’s vigil resonates and cheers on the cancer sufferers to continue the fight. They are not alone,” said Dr. Rachel Rosario, PCS Executive Director.

Brother PH and its international counterparts have been actively promoting the Relay for Life since 2011 through initiatives such as the “œGolden Ring Project,” where different local offices of Brother that participates in Relay for Life in their respective countries form a ring around the globe.

The company also used a sash with all the flags of the participating countries, embroidered with their own Brother Entrepreneur Pro PR1000e 10-needle home embroidery machine, as a symbol. The sash is being routed yearly where each country gets to add their year of participation.
