Canon Philippines intros 5 new Pixma Printers

Canon Marketing (Phils.), Inc. (CMPI) introduced five new printers in their Pixma line up, most of which printers commonly known as AIO or all-in-one printers. Canon is proud to announce that the new line of printers are now equipped with Cloud Printing feature via Picasa, an improved wireless printing and the proprietary Easy Photo Print; an iOS and Android app. HD Movie print feature is also included in a bundled software which enables user to snapshot a scene from a high-def movie captured by any Canon Point and Shoot and DSLR camera for printing.

To meet the growing demands of customers, Canon has released a new range of PIXMA photo printers, which includes the MP287, MG8270, MG5370, and iP4970 plus the E500 model which, according to Canon, is the first low-cost ink printer that can print up to 1,200 documents. These printers are not only designed to suit all kinds of users, but also share an emphasis on pleasant aesthetic design, user-friendly operation, creative features and Canon’s renowned image quality.

Value-conscious consumers who seek the convenience of an integrated AIO solution will find the perfect fit for their needs in the PIXMA MP287 Compact and stylish, this AIO printer offers excellent performance and value.
The MP287 makes an excellent personal printer/scanner for the home: it is compact and stylish, ready to operate mere seconds from start-up, with a hassle-free self-opening paper output tray when printing and copying. This model will be available at Php3,495.00

PIXMA E500 is designed with easy operation in mind, and Canon’s new Ink Efficient features allow it to print an impressive 1,200 pages per set of ink cartridges. Other functions like FastFront and Auto Photo Fix II support this design concept of user-friendly operation. This will be available for only Php4,495.00.

The PIXMA iP4970 is a dedicated photo printer, using FINE, Hybrid and ChromaLife100+ technologies to print colorful and long-lasting photographs. The packaged software suite grants users access to programs like Full HD Movie Print and Easy PhotoPrint EX to streamline the creative work flow, making it easier than ever to tinker with photographs and print visually unique images. SRP is Php6,495.00.

The MG5370 is a mid-range All-In-One photo printer, with built-in Wi-Fi. This not only allows you to connect it wirelessly to a computer network and be shared among multiple computers, but it can also conveniently print photos directly from iPhones, iPads and Android devices. It guarantees excellent photo prints with its five individual ink tanks. Along with this, it also has direct photo print functions like direct card printing and Pictbridge. Retails at Php8,495.00.

The PIXMA MG8270 is an all-in-one printer with film scanning. It makes use of an LCD panel and a special touch-sensitive area to navigate through the various functions. What makes it more intelligent and appealing is the fact that only the relevant touch keys are lit at each menu, so that users are never overloaded with unnecessary options. The PIXMA MG8270 is the ideal photo all in one as it has six individual ink cartridges with gray ink for excellent and detailed monochrome prints. It also comes with film scanning capabilities for the traditionalists who still prefer to use film or those who would like to digitize their film. SRP is Php19,295.00.

PIXMA printers new features:

Creatively-inclined users who like to experiment with their photos can do so with five Fun Filter Effects available with this new range of PIXMA printers. By playing around with these filters, users can stylize their photographs with Miniature Effect, Fish-Eye Effect, or even make the photos look like they’ve been taken with a toy camera.

Alternatively, Auto Photo Fix II can automatically adjust the levels and color balance of photographs so that they can be more vibrant and visually pleasing without the more stylized effects of the Fun Filters

FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) is a technology that can achieve printing resolutions as high as 9600 x 2400 dpi. It achieves this with a print head that contains 4,608 nozzles that create microscopic ink droplets as small as 1pl for virtually grain-free photos. With FINE technology, a 4″x6″ borderless photograph can be printed in approximately 20 seconds.

In doing its part for the environment, Canon has equipped the iP4970, MG8270 and MG5370 and MG4170 with additional ECO settings. These easily adjustable settings allow the user to set the printer to automatically print two-sided printouts when printing PDFs, photocopying, or printing templates.
