Immigration officers blamed for PH DOTA Team loss

Apr 13, 15 Immigration officers blamed for PH DOTA Team loss

Posted by in Gaming, Tech News

The Philippine delegates to the Defense of the Ancients (DOTA) tournament blamed the Bureau of Immigration (BI) for their loss, according to a news report from ABS-CBNNews.com. This is after several members were barred from leaving the country after failing to present an Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) from the Philippine Oveseas Employment Authority (POEA). Members of Team Rave, having barred to leave the country to compete in an international DOTA competition in Incheon, South Korea, are forced to use the slow internet connections of the country to compete, not wanting to lose. Having a high-speed internet connection is essential to win the game. In a twitter post, however, POEA Administrator Hans Leo Cadac said that there are no OEC requirements required for cyber-athletes to fulfill. @indayevarona @bamaquino @Mineski @RaveDota2 I can say that athletes, including cyber gamers, are exempted from securing a POEA clearance. — hans leo j. cacdac (@HansLeoCacdac) April 6, 2015 The BI said that it is coordinating with the POEA to prevent similar incidents to occur in the future. “We are coordinating with the POEA to make the process easier for the public, so as not to cause any inconvenience to the travelers. Right now, we must implement the guidelines.” Source: ABS-CBN News Related posts: No related...

In actual performance, they tested it and it performed 12% faster for the game Assasin’s Creed Unity and Battlefield 4, 2 of the most famous and played games nowadays.
