Plants vs Zombies 2 for Android now available

iOS fans of Plants vs Zombies 2 have been enjoying the game since last August, but now Android users get to join in the fun as well. Finally. Just like in iOS, the Android version of PvZ 2 has been released initially in Australia and New Zealand last week. Worldwide release happened today and you can now get the game, a hefty 169MB download, for free on Google Play. Plants vs Zombies 2 offers new mechanics aside from a bunch of new plants and zombies. There are now various worlds (Ancient Egypt, Pirate Seas, and Wild West) you have to explore, each with varying types of zombies. Each plant also gets a super attack when you feed it plant food which you can get from killing zombies. You can also get into the heat of the battle yourself by invoking godlike powers in exchange for in-game coins so you can toss zombies or electrocute them using finger gestures. Oh yeah, look out for the Yeti. There are in-app purchases available in the game if you’re getting frustrated on some levels but the game can still be beat relatively easy even without paying for anything.  Achievements and leaderboards are tracked via Google Play Game Services by the way. Oct 02, 13 NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 – The Fastest Choice in Mainstream

Posted by in Accessories & Peripherals, Gaming

Mainstream consumers usually prefer to go the most economical route when it comes to their computing needs, most specifically gamers that want just the right specs for today’s popular MOBA games and the likes. In this respect, NVIDIA immediately comes to mind as their GeForce GT line of graphics cards offer a great balance of visual performance and an affordable asking price. NVIDIA graphics cards offer all the gaming technologies one needs in order to have a great gaming experience without burning through their budget: full DirectX 11 support, Adaptive Vsync, NVIDIA PhysX and NVIDIA FXAA all come together for a problem-free visual experience and with NVIDIA’s excellent and unrivalled driver development and support, consumers can rest assured the company is providing the best effort to maximize their products. NVIDIA’s Adaptive Vsync technology reduces tearing and stuttering for a smooth gaming experience. This technology disables Vsync when the frame rate is low and enables it when the frame rates go higher reducing those distracting screen tears and stutters for problem-free graphics. NVIDIA FXAA is an NVIDIA technology used to reduce those jagged edges in games. Traditional anti-aliasing takes up a lot of system resources which could slow down and affect your gaming experience. NVIDIA FXAA is a post-processing technique that creates anti-aliased edges without taxing the GPU resources. NVIDIA PhysX is a prime technology from NVIDIA, delivering lifelike physics simulation in games that support it. This technology is an NVIDIA exclusive and as you can see from the comparison below, you’re missing out when you have NVIDIA PhysX disabled. Smoke effects, flames, water, etc. all of which are vibrantly delivered by NVIDIA graphics cards. Introducing the NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 As mentioned earlier, NVIDIA’s GeForce GT series focus on a nice balance of cost/performance and the NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 delivers just that: faster and higher performance at an attractive price. This is two biggest benefits of the GT 600 series. The NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 DDR3 model wins over a competing HD7750. That’s...

Team Mineski bows out in League of Legends World Championship Season 3

Philippines League of Legends eSport’s pride, Team Mineski, and Southeast Asia’s representative to the Worlds ended its LoL campaign without moving pass the playoff round. Team Mineski bowed out of the most prestigious League of Legends competition with a 0-8 record in the Group Stage being the only team who wasn’t able to secure a win. In the Group Stage, only the top two teams from group’s A and B advances to the Quarterfinals. Europe’s Fnatic (7-1) and Gambit BenQ (6-3) were the top two teams in Mineski’s group. Even though Mineski didn’t win a game, they continued to improve after each game. They even did well against their last match with Korea’s Samsung Ozone when they got off to a good start before losing decisively. Mineski also earned a lot of cheers and fan support during their Day 6 match with group leader Fnatic by utilizing a quadruple support lineup. With nothing to lose nor gain, Mineski and Fnatic just enjoyed their game while treating spectators to an all-out melee fest. Fnatic eventually won the game by a huge margin. Despite their unfortunate outing, it was still an experience to build on for Mineski having been able to play with the best teams in the world in a huge stage. An experience that will surely point the team to strive harder for next season. Team Mineski earned the ticket to play in the Worlds by winning the Southeast Asia Regional in Vietnam last August. They were able to beat last year’s top two teams in the region – Singapore Sentinels and the Saigon Jokers. Rockstar brings the iFruit companion app for GTA V to extend your game experience

Sep 18, 13 Rockstar brings the iFruit companion app for GTA V to extend your game experience

Posted by in Gaming

You’re probably spending too much time cooped up in your room playing Grand Theft Auto V since getting hold of the game just recently. However, there’s this thing called “life” that you need to attend to from time to time. If you’re having withdrawal issues from GTA V, Rockstar gives you something to do while you’re away from your game. iFruit is a free companion app for GTA V. It’s currently available on iOS but will soon make its way to Android devices. This app is an extension of your game giving you the following features: Los Santos Customs – The Los Santos Customs app offers players the freedom to create their ultimate vehicle in Grand Theft Auto V from anywhere. You can create and reserve custom license plates for both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. You can also choose from paint jobs, window tints, smoke colors, wheels, hoods and spoilers. Upgrade your engine, brakes, exhaust, suspension, and accessorize with new lights, horns, tires and body armor. Place your order on-the-go and find it waiting for you in the garage the next time you play Grand Theft Auto V, or send your order in while playing and get a call from your local mechanic to swing by. Chop the Dog –  Chop is Franklin’s canine sidekick in Grand Theft Auto V. Look after him well in the Chop the Dog app and you will reap the benefits when playing as Franklin in Grand Theft Auto V. Pet him, feed and water him, play fetch and tug-of-war, teach him tricks. Too much or too little of an activity, however, will cause Chop to become unhappy, and nobody likes an unhappy Rottweiler. Take Chop on walks and to mark his turf in the hood – defending his ladies, fending off gang members and even protecting the beach babes of Los Santos from unsightly tan lines by removing their bikinis. Aside from iFruit, Rockstar also released the GTA V: The Manual which is...
