Cherry Mobile Razor, 7.7mm thin quad-core Android for P6,499

If a low budget and a thin form factor is your primary consideration for getting a single-SIM Android phone, then the recently announced Cherry Mobile Razor might just fit the bill.

Cherry Mobile Razor

Cherry Mobile is highlighting the 7.7mm thinness of their Razor smartphone which makes it thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S4 (7.9mm) and as thin as the iPhone 5 (7.6mm). This 4.5-inch phone also features the scratch-resistant Dragontrail glass technology to keep the qHD IPS display clear of scratches.

The inside hardware are no slouch either on this Android 4.2 Jelly Bean phone. It is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with the requisite 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage with a microSD slot. The 8-megapixel camera at the back can record Full HD videos and you’ll get a 2-megapixel at the front for video chatting while battery is rated at 1750mAh.

Interested? The Cherry Mobile Razor will go on sale sometime this month for Php6,499.

are you sure it utilizes 2 sims? last time I checked out the specifications, it only uses 1 micro sim.

This phone is quite heavy, 157 grams for 4.5 inches and a 1700 mah battery. It’s like carrying two ipod touches.

Correct me if I’m wrong, CM Razor is the cheapest HSPA+ Android handset right?

  7. i think the non removable battery will be an issue when the phone hangs. it has been a practice that if our cp hangs and we lose all functionality, we just pull out the battery. cold rebooting.

also, if one is accustomed to using multiple sim cards, the single sim capability will be an issue.

i havent tried this yet but from using flare and flam 2, the music volume needs improvement. i hope this phone has a “louder” output.

bkit mas mura to kesa sa flame 2???
    anong diff. between sa dalawa??

  9. Saw this today. It’s compact and sturdy. Too sturdy I guess to the point that it’s heavy. It also has these rough edges that makes it look like an elegant calculator or something. Ended up buying cosmos x instead. Happy with it though. It’s light but doesn’t feel cheap.

The phone is so great. I bought it last week. Still fluid with so many apps. Kaya lang ang bilis uminit ng battery pag naglalaro ako ng 2Fuse. But other than that: sobrang fantastic nung phone.

  11. Where were you able to buy this Cherry Mobile Razor?
because i’m planning to buy one but i can’t find it in the stores yet. I hope it will really be available on the market everywhere soon . please reply

I think its pretty neat for a phone with a 6499 price tag. It’s quad core na and it’s looks really sleek. Not bad for a temporary phone. I’m thinking of buying one, mainly for texting and calling lang. I’ll probably use it to surf the net every once in a while. I’m not a big fan of playing games so if this phone lags in the middle of a game, I don’t really give a shiz. I just want a phone na JB and quad core na, looks really good pa. The problem is, I’ve read some reviews na may issue daw yung iba sa responsiveness nang phone. Now this is a big deal for me kasi it would be really annoying if I’m texting. And i found out na u can’t change the battery as well. Any problems sa battery nang CM razor,so far? I know it’s a relatively cheap phone and u tend to get what you paid for but it would be impractical to keep on buying phones kahit na puro sila mura. Any thoughts? Pls help out. Thanks. :)

    • got problem with the battery…i just bought razor last month and now its dead…i cant open the back lid since its a non-removable battery…so nung bigla syang mamatay at ayaw ng magbukas…i cant take off the battery which is annoying…and sad to say…hindi ko sya magamit…need to go to service center pa ng CM para lang mapaayos:(

  13. Im ready to buy, the only thing keeping me from buying is the non-removable battery…
    concerns:
    1. If the battery die… what to do
    2. If the phone hangs… what to do
