Coby launches line of Kyros tablets in time for the holidays
US brand Coby officially launched their line of Kyros Android-based mobile internet devices (MID) just in time for the holidays. Coby is one of the affordable and widely-distributed tablet brands in the US and we often associate it with portable DVD players and bargain TV’s here in the Philippines.
Last week, Coby’s exclusive distributor in the country, Red Dot Philippines, launched the Kyros tablet lineup ranging 7” to 10” to fit the needs from students to working people looking for an Android 4.0 tablet that won’t break their wallets.
Here are four of the tablets that were highlighted during the event:

The design and tablet quality doesn’t vary much between sizes except for the 7-inch ones which have a taller profile. Expect these tablets to be available in the market soon, with the MID7048 being the first to arrive this month.
wow…this may not be the most awesome android tablet out there, but for the price and possible usage, this is already a bargain!
I used to have an older generation Coby tablet. It was pretty solidly made and even survived a couple of drops. One thing that I didn’t like was the Coby branding across the front of the device above the screen. Thankfully, most of their new tablets have placed the Coby logo somewhere at the back where it’s more discreet and can be covered by a case.
Just want to confirm, if these devices does not have android market? Can this device still download android application? how?

bought Kyros MID9742 already, ok naman sya, kaso GetJar un source ng android application nya. Also yung back camera its not 2 megapixel, vga lang sya

I bought a coby last September 29 and last night it didn’t work until now. I think drained lang yung battery but when I charge it no indications na nagchacharge na ito. What seems to be the prob. kaya?

You need to look up to your manual, about “resetting”. it’s a tiny-needle hole, kailangan mong tusukin ng ga-karayom lang na bagay para mai-reset. Subukan mo lang…

sadly, this tablet gave me headaches
it was replaced 3 times with bnew tablets
same overheating problem
last was with the touch screen

Please dagdagan pa ang inyong mga service centers. Ang itinuro lang sa akin ay sa Sampaloc. Sana magkaroon man lang sa Mandaluyong, Makati o di kaya dito sa The Fort, Taguig..
