Since moving into the Philippines in 2003, Convergys has established twelve contact centers – seven located throughout Metro Manila, three in Cebu City, one in Bacolod City, and one in Santa Rosa, Laguna. With the new additional sites – the TechnoHub, Nuvali, San Lazaro, Cebu i3, and Bacolod facilities it will require additional 3,600 new employees.
That would mean additional revenue likewise to the potential suppliers of the company – from its desktop requirements, network equipment and the likes. In line with this hiring, Convergys will need no less than 2,300 additional workstations. This was disclosed by Philippines Country Manager and Managing Director, AsiaPac/EMEA Marife Zamora in a meeting with reporters in Manila.

Since the launch of the prestigious awards ceremony in 2007, this is the third International Award the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) community has bestowed on Convergys, which has previously received top honors as the “œBPO Employer of the Year.” Most recently, Convergys was inducted into the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Hall of Fame after Convergys won both the Outstanding Employer and Outstanding Exporter three times in each category.
