Garmin launches VIRB X and VIRB XE Next Gen Action Cameras

We’ve seen numerous action cameras challenge GoPro before but this one seems to have the potential. Garmin has just launched the Garmin VIRB X and VIRB XE, an action camera that does not only shoot Full HD videos but also track and overlay data including speed, distance, depth, etc. while filming. The Garmin VIRB X and VIRB XE can also be used up to 50 meters deep without a case, providing a cleaner and clearer video underwater. Just how awesome is that?

Here’s a video of the Garmin VIRB X and VIRB XE in action.

The Garmin VIRB X has an SRP of USD 299 while the more premium VIRB XE is priced at USD 399.
