Get ready for the Samsung Galaxy Grand, 5-inch dual-SIM Android for Php16,990
Samsung is set to unveil a 5-inch Android this month for those looking for a dual-SIM phone on a large body from a reputable brand.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand looks like a smaller Galaxy Note without the stylus and a less-than-stellar WVGA resolution. That’s an 800 x 480 resolution on a 5-inch TFT LCD screen for a below average 187 ppi pixel density. Not the same as the usual vibrant and sharp AMOLED screens we’re used to from Samsung.
Anyway, if screen resolution is not that big a deal for you, the Galaxy Grand sports a modest 1.2 GHz dual-core processor (exact chip still unknown) with 1GB RAM. Internal storage is limited at 8GB but you’ll have the option for microSD. It also comes equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera capable of Full HD video recording and a nice 2-megapixel camera up front.
Battery is rated at 2100 mAh and the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS makes sure that your resources are more optimized than ICS. Despite the screen resolution, you’ll get a nice-looking 5-inch phone from Samsung that has the latest OS and has dual-SIM support for Php16,990. Expect this phone to be available this month in Elegant White and Metallic Blue colors.

parang Titan with slightly beefier specs and that brand name. dapat ganyan na yung mga bagong Titan, 1GB RAM.

havent tested yet but i would assume it is. most, if not all, dual sim androids are dual-standby.

myhone a919 has better ppi than that “grand” i would love to pit it against each other. almost same specs. price of a919 was way below though.

screen res: 480×854 for a919 vs 480×800 for grand. note: 54 pixel is neglible for a normal user, kahit po pagtabihin niyo wala po kayong makikitang difference.

ui: touchwich ui with nature ux is years ahead of custom aosp ui of a919
price: jan lang po dehado ang grand.

no it wont. this is for those who need dual-sim. s3 is for those looking for high-end specs.
I have to agree with Calvin on this, para talaga to sa mga taong who want to only carry one phablet. Ako din kasi ganyan hanap ko before, I was actually waiting for Note 2 to be re-released with dual sim.
Posted on my sg grand dous. Have already tab 2 7.0 tab2 10.1 and tried out the s3 mini…bought this instead because of the 5 inch screen..all the features of s3..not the mini only on a 2 core chip…so far im satisfied …sa my fone at other local brands ba yun correct me if wrong…what matters most is the software support…firmware upgrades etc…wala kasi yan sa my phone or the likes…pwede pero i root mo pa…unlike samsung na update mo lang …ok na…at ang my phone hindi ka basta maka install thru playstore…so thats y i chose sg grand…hassle free…
why is my friends unit is 4GB internal memory?
4gb para sa mga internal apps mga widget etc etc included so.. 4gb lang ang natitira para sa apps na mai DL mo… root na yan para ilagay ang mga apps sa sd card.
I like the feature of sg grand, like cm titan, I have already budget for this unit. I will buy .
That price for the GRAND seems too high for a phone with a less than stellar screen.
The big weakness is obviously the SCREEn 187 PIXELS STRETCHED over 5 inches. WOW big ask !!!
You would be smarter to add a bit more money and buy the GALAXY S3.
Tamang tama lang ang phone na to for those people like me who wants dual sim with good specs. Depende naman sa taong gagamit if they want a high end unit, this is not for them.

Ive been using sg grand so far in so satisfied and as for me i want bigger screen i cant afford note 2 so i settled with this and im good with it,,its more cheaper in dubai it only cost around 12k

Ask ko lng bkit 4gb lang nka reflect sa unit ko instead of 8gb? And pwede ko po ba lagyan ng sim broadband ung isang slot so that it will work sa internet? Ty
