Globe brings Super Surf for BlackBerry Max down to Php599 for 30 days

When we sat with Research in Motion representatives a couple of weeks ago, they hinted on talks they’re having with local telcos that will bring down the cost of owning a BlackBerry. I guess this is one of the many plans they have in store for BlackBerry users old and new.

If you’re on a prepaid BIS plan with Globe, you will be happy to know that a 30-day subscription to it via BlackBerry MAX has been brought down to Php599 from Php999. That’s good news especially if you bought the BlackBerry PlayBook because you can share your 3G BIS connection from your phone to your PlayBook.

Here’s how Globe prepaid subscribers can sign up for Super Surf BlackBerry MAX (P1 maintain balance is required):

And here’s for the Globe postpaid subscribers out there:

This BlackBerry MAX price-cut is available until December 31, 2011 but I’m sure Globe will be kind enough to let it stick permanently.

  1. Hey Mark of TP, I think it must be 8888, not 888 haha :) BBMAX OFF to 8888 :)

  2. or is it really 888? HAHAHA

  3. Why do this Blackberry? Just when I’m almost 100% sure of getting an iPhone, you’ll be making promos like this?? Ayan tuloy, di na ako sure if I will be letting go pa of my Blackberry =(

  4. Anong pang tapat ng smart sa promo na ‘to?

  5. will this work for any globe numbers? i got an iphone and the 30days would be great. :)

yay! good move globe. let’s see how smart will react.

  7. Bummer! dapat pati sa Supersurf P699 n lng din (or better yet, lower). Sa BB nga may binabayaran pa cla sa BlackBerry eh, sa ibang phone wala na, dapat mas mura ang regular supersurf.

    • nope. this has more to do with RIMs talks with the telcos rather than Globe’s own decision. BlackBerry users are not bandwidth-heavy kasi nga magaling ang BIS sa pagcompress ng data so hindi masakit for Globe to offer this to BB users.

  8. question, if im an existing bb max user does my monthly billing reflect the same price?

  9. any luck if smart is going to lower down their BB cost? ung globe ko kasi nasa iphone na and BB sa smart. any luck that smart would also yield?

sir…sana po masagot mo ito. Ask ko lng po sana kung may download capping itong BBMAX kasi dun sa SuperSurf mya download cap na 800MB per day ?

    • not that i know of… sabi ng bb friends ko wala rin and wala rin silang naririnig. kasi paglalagyan nila ng cap, wala ka na ring bb service. so what’s the point of having a bb diba?

pang globe lang ba tlga? wala bang touch mobile? db parang sister company naman ng globe ang tm :| got a bb pero im tm :(

  12. Pwede ba tether pag naka bbmax?
