Globe expands PowerSurf volume-based plans, now with daily rates

For Globe subscribers who needs all-day access to the internet but only for light usage such as tweeting, posting Facebook status, or checking in on Foursquare,  you’ll be happy to know that Globe’s PowerSurf MB plan has been updated to include daily rates.

PowerSurf MB promotes KB-based browsing, which means you can stay connected and only get charged once you send or receive data. And since PowerSurf gives you bulk megabytes (MB) of mobile internet, which is consumable per kilobyte (KB), you can stay connected longer.

Here’s the updated PowerSurf MB plans you can avail from Globe:

Plan Price MB Allocation Validity
PowerSurf 15 Php15 20MB 1 day
PowerSurf 30 Php30 50MB 1 day
PowerSurf 50 Php50 100MB 3 days
PowerSurf 99 Php99 50MB 30 days
PowerSurf 299 Php299 300MB 30 days
PowerSurf 499 Php499 1GB 30 days

To register to any of these PowerSurf plan, dial *143# and press call for free. Powersurf 15, 30, and 50 are only available to prepaid subscribers.

“œWe understand that mobile browsing users have different needs so we’re excited to let our subscribers know that they are empowered to choose which PowerSurf plan suits them best for a worry-free surfing experience,” said Jenny Echevarria, Head of Globe Mobile Data Services. “œSo whatever your mobile browsing habits are or sites you go to, you can choose from which PowerSurf MB plan that suits you best so that you can go lang ng go with Globe Mobile Internet, your way.”

Mr. Calvin, my brain says that PowerSurf MB 499 has 1GB data allocation, not 499MB. 😛

It’s time for Globe to follow the modern age and remove that silly 800mb supersurf limit!

    • Griswold

i think that’s gone now. well for globe tattoo that is. my friend was able to connect to HSPA+ and enjoy 300kbps download speed. i warned her of the 800mb limit but she was able to continue downloading with the same speed well past 1GB. And supersurf yung gamit nya.

pwd ko ba e open ang pocket data ko without worrying na mababawasan ang load ko? as long as d ako nag sesend or nakakarecieved ng msg or nag brobrowsed, d mababawasan ung MB ko?

    • yup hindi ka mababawasan. pero baka may mga background tasks na magcoconnect sa internet so make sure naka off yung sync nila if ayaw mong mabawasan pag di mo talaga ginagamit.
