All signs point to Google announcing to the world tomorrow that it is indeed doing a collab with Sun Microsystem’s StarOffice to bring you….Google Office (or something close to it).
I can almost hear a certain Steve B crying in the shadows..
UPDATE (10/05/2005, 10:50 AM)
OK so let me partially eat my words
it wasn’t an open anti-Microsoft Office declaration (yet).
From the Sun website:
The agreement aims to make it easier for users to freely obtain Sun’s Java Runtime Environment (JRE), the Google Toolbar and the OpenOffice.org office productivity suite, helping millions of users worldwide to participate in the next wave of Internet growth.
From The Register:
For its part, Sun already serves up more than 20m downloads of Java per month. Will the availability of the Google toolbar - something already available from Google - make people want to download Java more?
No, this deal centers more around the obvious - marketing.

hehe..things are really getting very interesting nowadays between Microsoft and Google..i just hope that all of this creates more and better opportunities for the consumers.
Google is still in honeymoon stage, and we see them trying to hit many things all over….
While they attack Microsoft, they should watch out their back as well. So far, all indications point out that the search gap between MSN search and google is also narrowing.
Office Supplies are pretty boring, but what about organization, productivity, office humor and annoying your coworkers?
Nice article indeed. I wonder how it will go.
