How Lucky Can You Get in the Internet?
Some guys have all the luck.
Recently, Abe of yugatech won Amazon gift certificates worth $100.00… Twice, from Connected Internet for a total of$200.00. He wrote about it here and here.
I have also had my share of winning. Two times, too (no pun intended).
First I won an mp3 player from Penny Haynes of Digital Business Books’ Brain Storm for being the second “commenter” on the topic of Sliding Scales.
The second one is a scholarship for one year from E-Myth’s Embark Now eLearning program of 7 courses.. and get this: valued at: $1493! I hope I can maximize this opportunity and learn as much as I can. I “earned” this by telling them my unique perspective of why I deserve to win the scholarship. Apparently, they think I really need it. =)
Emboldened by these recent winnings, I am also launching a contest at MabutingBalita.net with a one-year Kerygma Magazine subscription as the prize (worth PHP 600.00 ).

Yep, years ago. I filled up an online survey, and won free roundtrip tickets for two, to anywhere in the Philippines, where this X shipping line has a route.
I’ve been on the Internet since it started here in 1994, and I have won… nothing. But I could say I got lucky, nonetheless.

I didn’t win anything tangible from the internet, but I won a lot of new friends and new business and career opportunities though. Probably the closest thing for me getting something from the internet is the sponsored laptop I got from Ubuntu.
