Huawei Ascend P7 launched in PH

Huawei today unveiled the much-awaited Ascend P7 . We had a first-hand look at the well-crafted 6.5mm-thick, five-inch full-HD phone with Huawei ambassador Jasmine Curtis-Smith who is a fan of smartphone photography and a fast, seamless connection.

The Ascend P7 boasts of high-speed 4G LTE coupled with Huawei’s unique dual antenna, which greatly improves signal reception and allows users to enjoy unlimited media viewing. This high-power combination gives the unit capability to download at speeds of up to 150Mbps.

Aside from the phone’s outstanding connection, Curtis-Smith and guests also sampled the Ascend P7’s improved camera and panoramic selfie and groufie capabilities. The unit is also equipped with an 8MP 5P non-spherical lens front-facing camera, making selfie-taking a breeze.

“The Ascend P7 definitely exceeded my expectations of what a smartphone can do. Using the unit is a unique experience. It’s now my go-to phone in all occasions,” Curtis-Smith said. “With the panoramic shooting, everyone can fit in the picture. This feature also allows me to include more in the frame when taking a selfie, something that I need for my travels,” she added.

Another feature that impressed guests is the Ascend P7’s superb craftsmanship. Its sleek and sophisticated metallic appearance is due to a seven-layered rear surface treatment with a refined “spin effect” micro-pattern design, which has never before been seen in other smartphones.

The unit also provides an edge with enhanced strength and durability against everyday use with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 front and rear covers.

Furthermore, consuming content through the Ascend P7 is a unique experience. Its five-inch FHD touchscreen display comes with 1920 x 1080 resolution, 445ppi and 16:9 aspect ratio, providing intense visual clarity when viewing multimedia.

“The Ascend P7 took months of extensive design refinements to achieve this excellent balance of form and function. It’s our pleasure to bring this product into the Philippines,” said Charles Wu, Consumer Business group head of Huawei Technologies Philippines.
