Intel To Replace McAfee With Intel Security
Intel CEO Brian Krzanich at CES announced that Intel will be dropping the McAfee brand and has unveiled its successor, the Intel Security.
The new security software will still bear the famous red shield logo but will now include free security protection for mobile devices. Krzanich didn’t dive into details but mentioned that Intel Security will include Intel Device Protection technology which will provide a safer and more secure experience on Intel-based Android mobile devices.
“The complexity of keeping digital identities safe grows as mobile applications and devices become a more important part of our daily lives,” Krzanich said. “Intel’s intent is to intensify our efforts dedicated to making the digital world more secure, and staying ahead of threats to private information on mobile and wearable devices.”
