iPod Touch 5th Gen starts shipping in two weeks

For those who are eagerly anticipating the availability of the new iPod Touch, you’ll be glad to know that our local Apple Store will start shipping it in two weeks. If you want to get that “online-only” red color, you might want to start ordering it now.

According to the online Apple Store, the iPod Touch 5th gen is priced at Php16,490 for the 32GB and Php21,990 for the 64GB with free shipping and engraving. Price is slightly higher than the older model when it first came out though. As proven by history, price in Apple reseller stores will be the same as that of the online Apple store.

This is probably the best upgrade the iPod Touch had so far having a 4-inch screen like the iPhone 5, and a huge boost on camera quality which puts it at par with the iPhone 4. It is also the first time the iPod Touch will come in a variety of colors to match the iPod theme. Finally, you’ll get the new comfy EarPods in the package iPhone 5 users are raving about. You have to wait for a “Lightning” adapter though if you want to use this on your existing docks.
