Lenovo does a refresh of their IdeaPad S10-3 netbook with the S10-3s

A couple of days ago, Lenovo announced  updates on their laptop line. One of these is their netbook, the IdeaPad S10-3. So what’s new with the current iteration which is the IdeaPad S10-3s?

In terms of design and build, nothing has changed with the S10-3s compared to the S10-3. They just add some funky designs on their lid for you to choose from. More suitable for students I might say but I still prefer the sleek pattern on the original S10-3.

Contrary to what’s being mentioned over the net about the IdeaPad S10-3s having Intel Atom N450 or N470 processors, Lenovo reps told us that the one shipping here will have the fast Atom N550 processor. It’s a dual core 1.5GHz processor which would give a boost to a netbook’s multitasking capability. Aside from that, the S10-3s supports DDR3 memory so you should notice a considerable performance improvement compared to your typical netbook.

The Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3s will be available this September with pricing starting at Php22,900. It’s one of the netbooks you should watch out for based on its specs alone.
