MSI confirms $50 price hikes on Wind U100

Reports are out that MSI is going to increase the SRP prices of all MSI Wind U100 to $499 and up. The average increase will hover around $50.

The company has had “no choice” but to increase the price as the raw manufacturing costs for the battery and other notebook materials have increased significantly, according to an MSI official. {via}

We’ve already seen the local prices of MSI Wind going from Php23,999 to Php31,999. A global increase of $50 might also affect pricing in the Philippines by at least Php2,500. Will update this thread once local stores reflect the price hikes.
