A few weeks ago, the German country site of BMW (BMW.de) was removed from the Google Index after getting a public SEO spam review courtesy of Matt Cutts, senior Google engineer and anti-spam czar. By using a combination of keyword stuffed redirecting doorway pages, the site was deemed spammy and in violation of Google’s webmaster quality guidelines.
Last February 16, Dennis Agulo a member of the SEO Philippines mailing list reported that MyAyala.com too has been removed from the Google Index. A site:domain check over at both Google.com and Google.com.ph showed zero results. MyAyala.com could have been caught stuffing keyword-rich hidden text at the footer of its pages, a clear violation of the Google webmaster guidelines.
MyAyala.com is one of the most recognized sites in the Philippine Internet scene and is one of the flagship online properties of the Ayala Group of Companies.

hmm.. myayala might find this news embarassing. I wonder what’s the official statement from them?
This should be an eye-opener in a country that worships mogul clans.
A powerful surname means squat to the Googlebot.
Hhhhuuuuuulllllliiiiii!
Surprises me that such firms would employ nitwhits as their SEO and be surprised by being delisted. The only way to manipulate engines (and we have on all our sites from entertainment to auctions, software, etc.) are as follows:
1. link popularity (this can be done in many but there are only 2 good ways.
2. same as number 1 but getting high PR links
3. relevant content
4. MY FAVORITE… combination of both useragent and IP cloaking….not the weak java redirects and doorways BMW used…thats
old school.
#4 is easy as long as you have current updated engine IP blocks and the useragents… Sad to say many SEO dont even know how to create decent doorways that doest get banned.
Ever been searching the engines and clicked some of the top links, just to land elsewhere….Yup the real SEO know HOW to manipulate the engines and its not hard….hehehe
Jozzua, I sent them an email asking for an official comment, no reply yet. BTW nice site. You should consider writing for PTB
Mike, it’s just a site ban, nothing more
and if they play their cards right, it may just be a short 30-day ban.
they probably dont care and know much at all
Not the first time… Marc covers the MyFlowershop PR Fiasco. Not so nice story in the comments, too.
