NEO outs own Ultrabook under their Edge series
NEO is now joining the Ultrabook bandwagon by announcing their own under their slim family series called Edge.
This new NEO Edge ZD2UW Ultrabook which is going to be made available this month will be packing Intel’s 3rd Generation (Ivy Bridge) Core i5 processor. It has a tough metallic aluminum chassis with a slim tapered edge which contributes to its thinness never before seen on a NEO notebook.

It will be a 14-inch affair for NEO’s first Ultrabook and it will have that rare optical disc drive which Samsung also favored on their 14-inch Series 5 Ultrabook. You’ll also get a hybrid storage system here, 32GB SSD for system files and a whopping 500GB HDD for your main storage. As for ports, you’ll get 2x USB 3.0 (that’s two!), LAN, HDMI, and a card reader.
NEO claims you can get 5 hours of a single battery charge with their Ultrabook which weighs less than 1.8 kg which is not too shabby for a 14-incher.
This NEO Edge ZD2UW has a retail price of Php33,999 when it comes out some time this month. The closest Ultrabook when it comes to price would have to be the Acer Aspire S3 at Php39,990 but that utilizes last generation’s Intel processor.
