Nokia E Series

Nokia E Series

E is for Enterprise Business Oriented. This is not your ordinary Nokia phone. So far, when I say high-end, it’s really high-end. The E series of Nokia phones support WiFi data connections. Aside from that, it will be very useful for SIP compliant VOIP clients so that they could connect to WiFi based office PBX phone systems. In addition, they support the following e-mail solutions: BlackBerry Connect, GoodLink, Nokia Business Center, Seven Mobile Mail, Seven Always-On Mail, and Visto Mobile. Nokia E Series runs on the Series 60 platform which is based on Symbian OS v9.1.

The Nokia E Series of phones has also the capability of being centrally managed via an OMA Device Management support. This means that confidential data stored on the E Series phones will remain protected.

All E series phones support UMTS networks, a 3G mobile phone technology. On the other hand, the E70 will be available in two triband GSM variants, and one of those two variants will support UMTS networks.

The E series phones should be available by next year.
