Nokia Lumia 520, budget 4-inch Windows 8 Phone with super sensitive touch display
Along with the new Lumia 720, Nokia also announced recently the budget-friendly Lumia 520 which they say brings the high-end smartphone experience on an affordable package.

The Nokia Lumia 520 feels like the Lumia 620 with its colorful exchangeable shells. Its 4-inch display features the same super sensitive touch panel originally found on the Lumia 920, then the Lumia 820. This allows you to navigate the phone even with gloves on in case you’re somewhere really cold.

Hardware specs are somewhat similar to the Lumia 720. This phone is being powered by a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 512MB RAM. It has an 8GB internal storage with microSD support of up to 64GB.
Not to overlap with the Lumia 620, the Lumia 520 only sports a 5-megapixel rear camera. No front-facing one and no NFC either (not that you’ll probably use it). No FM Radio here as well but it has Nokia Music which lets you freely stream unlimited music playlists chosen by their local teams.
The Nokia Lumia 520 will start shipping in March where it will make landfall on Vietnam and Hong Kong first. It will retail for €139 (Php7,400) before taxes and subsidies.

if they can keep it at less than 8k then i think this will be a good buy. pareho lang proc and ram nya sa lumia 720.
@P7990 srp or even P7490.. definitely i’ll get one.
No LED flash nga lang but definitely a steal!
around 5-6k good pricing scheme to compete with other brands having android 4.0 ICS upgradeable to android 4.1 jellybean. if it happens, probably will get 2 units of this.
Sir Calvin,
Nokia Lumia 920 is also now officially on sale through select Nokia stores. Nokia Philippines thought did not indicate how many were shipped, but they’re saying the stocks are limited. It will be available in white, black, red and yellow and will go around for Php26,990.
mag cherry mobile flare nlng kau, 4k lng, same lng ng specs except sa 4gig internal memory, pero may flash naman. at higit sa lahat android. sulit na sulit
Androids are just boring…
+got a lot of Cherry’s that bricked.
men, pinoy mobile sucks. nokia brand is one of the producer of quality phones and you know that. i think pinoy phones are getting a hard time to beat branded phones even though the price is a bit low & the quality of pinoy phones are questionable.
i might get this one. konti nalang, mabibili na kita. wish that it is available here at bataan.
Sir, I just bought this new Nokia Lumia 520, and for me, the price was worth it. Kahit po hindi sya Android, mas masasabi ko pong “classy” sya compared to Cherry mobile flare. My friend has it and I think Nokia Lumia was way ahead of that Flare.
)
Well i have android phone and ipad tablet. I’ll definetly try this new os nokia 520. I hope their price is around 7k max of 8k in pesos. I hope it’s open @ 6999. Definetly a steal….
This is definitely good! I will get one when the phone was only about 8500 ………..:)
they said it’s the cheapest so it means it’s only about 8k………..
available na to sa nokia concept store, 6,990 and price. hopefully yugatech or pinoytechblog could make a full review of this phone and the apps available.
6990 ang mura, sayang nkabili n k ng phone ko.
