Nokia unveils Nokia N97 qwerty phone

Just announced today, the Nokia N97 series phone comes with a full touch screen display and a qwerty keyboard that slides under the panel. It’s obviously a direct competitor to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1.
It’s got a pretty impressive set of specs.
3.5 inches (360×640 pixels, 16 million colors) touchscreen display
32GB internal memory
up to 16GB on microSD
Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g
HSDPA 3.6Mbps

accelerometer sensor
full qwerty keyboard
handwriting recognition

The Nokia N97 won’t be shipping until the middle of 2009 with a suggested retail price of Php34,000 before taxes and subsidies.

Now that’s what I’m talking about! While Apple is still trying to figure out why the iPhone can’t cut and paste Nokia brings out the big guns. Eat your heart out iPhone fanboys!

Xperia competitor?? Are u kidding me? xperia has 65K colors, well thats what i called a joke. N97 has 16.7 million colors. but anyways, it will be out here in US on June 17. I cant wait to get my hands on this beast!
