O+ outs the O+ 8.9, a 5-inch Android phone for P8,995
Another Android phone from new mobile phone player and US-based company, O+ or O Plus, is the O+ 8.9, a 5-inch phone for just P8,995.
Holding this phone reminded me of how the Cherry Mobile Titan felt. The 5-inch display seems to have that 800 x 480 resolution with its not-so-sharp display.
Heft is okay. It’s not that heavy thanks to the plasticky body. The back panel has that curved tapered edges reminiscent of old Samsung phones. It also has that glossy finish that attracts smudges and fingerprints.
The O+ 8.9, like the O+ 8.12, has this feature called Air Shuffle which allows users to navigate through photos, radio stations, music, or take photos by just waving your hand over its front camera.
Specs for this phone are a bit sketchy as O+ has yet to respond to my request for exact specs on their phones. What we have at the moment is that it runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich with support for a Jelly Bean upgrade. It runs on a 1GHz dual-core processor with an unknown amount of RAM and internal storage. It has a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with flash and most probably a VGA camera in front.
The O+ 8.9 is already out in the market for Php8,995.

Should I get the O+ 8.9 or 8.12? can you use different launchers from android to change the themes coz the one I saw looks kinda old school

yup maski ako nung binili ko yung o+ 8.9 ko di ko gusto yung pre loaded wallpapers nya. Try to download hd wallpapers na lang kay google. Maganda screen ng o+ 8.9. Not the best screen but really good. wag kayo maniwala sa sinasabi nung iba diyan na pangit screen. Maling mali sila
. Wag mo lang siyempre i compare sa screen ng note. We all know what amoled can deliver naman.
i use apex launcher nga pala. then download apex themes na rin. Great launcher replacemen for our o+

Yes, it definitely is… It looks elegant, it’s fast and it performs as it supposed to.

Try looking for cases built for note 2. For the most part, it won’t be a perfect fit. Pero makakakita ka rin. Cover ng note 2 gamit ko sa 8.9 ko.
jelly case for note 1 naman gamit ko. un lang pag nagcha charge ako tinatanggal ko muna yung jelly case. magkaiba kasi sila ng butas

Hi I’m using the 8.9 oplus wla pang isang buwan nung nabili ko kaso pag mag call ako ung screen normally turns off kapag nilalapit sa tenga dahil sa sensor nya pero ngaun ayaw na mag turn on pag away na sa tenga nag master reset na rin po ako ayaw parin kya dko ma set sa loud speaker kaya ginawa ko temporary set ko muna ung power off na pang end ng call can anyone help me out here o kelangan na ng service center nito?
