How about the previous model, iPhone 3G? It’s only $99 in the US

    • comments from UK

That cost of iphone 3GS from the Philippines regardless of the network provider is totally rip off! The government should do something else about it! The retail value is totally unacceptable!

      • jerry

        yes correct!

  • Bro, you’ve got a typo in the prepaid kits. The second one is probly the 32GB, not 16GB. Of course, anyone with half a brain could figure that out 🙂

  • lee

how many years would the regular plans be be paid? 2 years?

  • Do we have the official source on this? I don’t see it on iphone3g.globe.com.ph yet

  • Ken

I would rather buy an IPOD Touch 32gb and a Nokia 1202. Let the super-rich enjoy it first. This thing will come down to earth sooner than later. Ahhh, the abuses of MONOPOLY.

  • enough….. Its only 22000 in apple store how come that expensive.. ?.,.

    • tyl rodriguez

22,000? where is that apple store located?

  • Heinz

    Hi everyone!
Does anyone know if the prepaid version has a sim or netlock?
I know it can be unlocked via Redsn0w.
    Just want to know.
    Thx!

  • Richard

never heard kung pwede nga ma unlock via redsnow…anyways, i am glad meron nang iphone dito sa pinas and as much as 400 monthly postpaid plan, i am sure, many will avail Globe iphone 3Gs plan at kasama na ako dun!

  • John Patrick Dela Cruz

mukhang pwede na akong mag iphone now…makapag inquire nga sa Globe mamaya. eh panu pag naka Gflex plan ka, do i need to apply for another plan or pwede diretso na?confused lang…

  • poor

Maramin bang available na iphone 3Gs units sa globe centers? Pwede ba kaagad makuha kung mag prepaid kit ka?

  • JLim

@poor- mukhang nagkakaubusan na, kasi kami nagpa-reserve na nung July 16 pa lang at nung Aug 3 lang namin nakuha. mukhang kailangan pa nila mag order ng marami rami pa kc madami pang interested mag avail ng plan nila. imagine they have plan for as low as 400? about naman sa kung pwede na makuha agad kung magprepaid kit ka?hmm…yan ang hindi ko alam…visit ka na lang sa business center nila!

  • have you heard? axe is giving away 50 iphones — no pruchase necessary. just go to axeonphone.com anyway, grabe! I sooo want an iPhone. It’s just so pricey… I guess i have to stick to those promos that give away iPhones lol.

  • poor

Inquiring about possible iphone 3Gs plan by ringing globe center up but to no avail. Due to work constraints and besides having no globe center in my province, i cannot visit any. Seeing this thread, there seems to be “shortage” in the supply. Anyone who could inquire if so? I wanted to purchase one (tatawid pa ako ng dagat, then sakay uli sa bus in case i end up going to manila.hehe) if only to be assured that i would end up getting one and not going back empty-handed.

  • Andrea Amparo

I have been a LOYAL subscriber of Globe for more than 10 years now. It just sucks to know that their quality of their service to their consumers has rapidly been getting worse.

And their customer loyalty department? It seems like their goal is to have people transfer their lines to their competitors.

So funny, it seems like they don’t know what they’re talking about.

Malas, at napunta ang iPhone sa Globe. Sana sa Smart na lang.

  • jeremy

I am particularly interested in the 32GB Iphone 3GS but when i called Globe and visited their website, the price of the 32GB is Php 45,250.00…a bit more expensive than what is stated in the post…but is still a lot more cheaper than in HK (Php 50,000) and I am a Globe subscriber anyway so i don’t really mind being strapped to the plan 🙂 Considering to get one in the coming weeks, dunno if Smart would be coming out with anything though so for now, this is my best bet.

  • John

ako naman, i got a loyalty dscount from Globe for iPhone 3Gs..23910 na lang ang cashout for 3Gs 16GB kaso almost 2wks na wala pa din ung unit..sobrang shortage daw e…meron ba sa inyo na under loyalty program din na nakuha na ung 3Gs?

  • j_lee

Wala pa ring iphone 3gs dito in iloilo

its been three weeks already when i reserved for

a postpaid unit but until now ala pa din… hmmm

    kelan pa kaya ito darating?????

  • ariel

I so love my IPhone3gs 32GB, i got mine last august 13 here in Gensan snd so far its a breeze…LOVE LOVE it!!!

all my albums on my macbook pro around 168 of them and counting was all moved and sync to my IPhone 3GS now i can carry around all my favorite music wherever i go and if there is a need to check my email the wifi is so great just like I am using my mac…

i held back several iphone model before getting one, this time around when they include GPS capability and video recording i said now is the time to own one!

its a little bit pricey but its all worth it!

  • Paolo

I have the same sentiments as Andrea Amparo. I have been a loyal Globe user since I got my very first mobile phone 12 years ago. I reserved for an Iphone 3GS 2 months ago and until now they are saying that its out of stock. I called up again yesterday kasi may friend ako na nakakuha ng ng Iphone 3GS pero sya new line, nagreklamo ako sa customer service pero sabi nila prioritized daw ang new lines over existing customers. For a loyal customer like me, nakakainis talaga un. To think I have been waiting for this phone for 2 months na, I have been using a broken old phone for 2 months just to wait for it. All I can say is Globe’s customer service is deteriorating. I am already going to switch to Smart because of this.

  • DAGUZ

anyone interested for iphone3gs? i am not actually a vendor but i could help anyone craving for it. 16gb-for ony 35k and 32gb for only 40k.same specs sa binebenta sa globe. its factory unlock never been opened.you can use any network sim card you want. its a less pricey coz i will order it will be imported direct from apple california. so if interested…place your order here. princedaguz13@yahoo.com. swear iphone is one of the best…

  • Justine

omg I just called globe today and reserved for an iphone. I’m so excited to get it already but I got depressed with all these reviews, oh no! I might really have to wait for months 🙁

  • michael

hahaha.. nag-order kami thru globe business center yesterday for an iphone 3gs and GUESS what they said would be the arrival date…

    4-5 MONTHS!! YES, MONTHS..

  • Chu

Why get it anywhere if you can get iPhones from us at 35K! Nexus one also available….. http://www.ibudgetgadget.com

  • macuser

Ordinary nlang yan dito.

    • shim

wow? for real? san sa US merong ganan na price ng iphone? anong store? thanks..

      • Apple stores? Doesn’t matter anyway, because they’re SIM-locked to AT&T , and come with a two-year lock-in.

    • Este, @Angel, that $99 price is only part of the story, because, like I mentioned to shim, you’re locked in to AT&T for two years. In fact, at Globe’s Plan 5,000, the price of the iPhone is “only” PhP1,000 — but then you do have to pay Globe P5,000 for every month in the lock-in period, whatever that might be.

  • hopingiPhone

bakit sobrang mahal ng iphone 3gs dto sa philippines? i just read an article na bumaban ung 3gs at it is only now $99 kung i coconvert natin..mga more or less 5000 lng and ung prise dto sa pilipinas is 4x higher.. ganun kalaki ang vat? MR. President please help gusto ko pa man din bumili sa Globe but after reading the article ng dadalang icip na ako… sana bumama man lng ng kahit 20thou na.. hay

    • i believe the $99 is attached to an expensive mobile plan.

      • And locked to AT&T, which has — to put it charitably — spotty coverage in some areas.

  • Alex

    Hi guys,
There is now iphones in stock in Philippines, i bought mine from a store over there and they sell at the cheapest price you can imaging.
I bought an apple iphone 3gs 32gb for just $300usd.
    you can email them… prizonmarket@gmail.com

  • This was an excellent read through. I really like this blog.
Thank you for sharing with us.
