bakit sobrang mahal ng iphone 3gs dto sa philippines? i just read an article na bumaban ung 3gs at it is only now $99 kung i coconvert natin..mga more or less 5000 lng and ung prise dto sa pilipinas is 4x higher.. ganun kalaki ang vat? MR. President please help gusto ko pa man din bumili sa Globe but after reading the article ng dadalang icip na ako… sana bumama man lng ng kahit 20thou na.. hay

Este, @Angel, that $99 price is only part of the story, because, like I mentioned to shim, you’re locked in to AT&T for two years. In fact, at Globe’s Plan 5,000, the price of the iPhone is “only” PhP1,000 — but then you do have to pay Globe P5,000 for every month in the lock-in period, whatever that might be.

Apple stores? Doesn’t matter anyway, because they’re SIM-locked to AT&T , and come with a two-year lock-in.
