PC Mag’s Fastest Geek competition

PC Mag stages the fastest geek competition “that challenges you to build a working desktop computer in record time” with “just a screwdriver and [your] wits to assemble a perfectly running PC from a stack of parts.”

Now what is so geeky about that? This is just a test of PC assembly, not exactly a measure of a geek’s creativity or analytical skill. Neither is it ranking high in the pay scale in the IT world.

  1. Well at least it’s a educational hobby. It used to interest me but I got bored. It also leads to too many unnecessary purchases!
