Pinoy developers create mobile blogging tool for Hollywood

Manila Bulletin report:

The new service offered by Los Angeles-based BlogStar allows Hollywood celebrities to distribute mobile entertainment including text, picture, audio, and video to a global fanbase. It made its formal debut last February at the 3GSM World Conference in Barcelona.

According to the article, the following artists have already signed up—Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, Wesley Snipes, Caprice, Juliette Lewis, Bam Margera, Kelly Slater, David Arquette, Nick Lachey, The Game, Alicia Silverstone, Nicky Hilton, Jack Osbourne, Tom Green, West Coast Customs, and Ryan Cabrera.

Here’s hoping that it catches on…

    but i doubt this thing will fly.. one word: stalkers.. case study: kapamilya sim(card)..

  • I guess with BlogStar and ABS-CBN Kapamilya, the artists only post what they want to share?

  • Migs is right. So, unless these artists volunteer information that may lead to stalking, there is nothing much that can be done about that.

    On another note, there is a thin line between Big Fan and Crazed Stalker. i suppose these artists would like to reach as broad an audience as possible. Howeverr, it is probably inevitable that a few Crazed Stalkers will be in that list.
