Promoting Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Asia

Back in September, I asked: Where is the Philippines’ Silicon Valley?

This topic was discussed in the recent workshop, Promoting Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Asia: Strategies and Partnerships, the infoDev Network Workshop Asia. This was held at the Hotel Intercon, from February 20 to 22, 2006.

The presentations are available. An interesting one is What does it take to create a Silicon Valley habitat in Asia? by Denny Roja, a Filipino-American venture capitalist (“VC”).

infoDev is ” an innovative global partnership of international development agencies focused on how information and communication technologies (ICT) can help to combat poverty and promote opportunity, empowerment and economic growth in developing countries.”
