Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition retails for P25,990

If you’re looking for a tablet that’s made for more than just content consumption, look no farther than the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. Yes, the name is a mouthful.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition

The new Galaxy Note 10.1 has the DNA of the Galaxy Note 3 but on a bigger 10.1-inch screen. It has the same S-Pen and the highly-integrated S-Apps found on the Galaxy Note 3. It even has the same faux leather back panel to add style on a huge tablet.

This 10-inch tablet is a far-cry from Samsung’s previous tablets of the same size though in terms of specs. For one, it has a really high 2560 x 1600 resolution on a Super LCD display for sharpness and picture clarity.

It is also the first device in the market to use Samsung’s Exynos 5 Octa chip which consists of a 1.9GHz A15 quad-core processor and a 1.3GHz A7 quad-core to give you the power you need or power down to prolong its 8220mAh battery. A 3GB RAM is inside to make sure your multi-tasking goes smoothly.

Samsung Knox is also included in this tablet for enterprise-grade security on an Android device.

  • Finally! A release date!

I take it that the price is for the 16GB Wifi-only model? Any idea when the 3G+Wifi model will come out too? I travel a lot to areas with no Wifi so the 3G radio is a must for me. I can even pass up the larger internal storage as long as it’s 3G capable.

    • they didn’t say if they’re bringing in the cellular model. as of now, it won’t be available here.

      • That would mean i have to purchase a portable wifi hotspot and tether the two devices every time i travel when i need to connect to the net. That’s very disappointing.

        • Disappointing indeed! They released the OG Note 10.1 with 3G here, why not the LTE version of the new model? C’mon Samsung, give us the LTE Snapdragon model!

        • yeah, or use your smartphone as a wifi hotspot for this tablet.

          • If i do that then i’d have two devices with battery drained at the same time. Anyway, i do hope Samsung releases the 3G or LTE version here too.
