Samsung launches its first notebook in the country

From being a consumer electronics giant, you might be surprised that it is just today that we get to see a full-blown laptop from Samsung here in the Philippines. Last March, we get to see their first netbook here.

Anyway, better late than never. Two Samsung laptops has entered the local laptop market, the R440 and and R480. From the outside it features Samsung’s new Touch of Color crystal finish, with a distinctive S-pattern. Samsung claims that their casing is scratch and smudge resistant and can withstand your typical bumps and knocks.

Both the R440 and R480 has the same Intel Core i3 350M (2.26GHz) processor with the R480 has another configuration for the Core i5. The difference however is that the R440 has an ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD5145 graphics card while the R480 has the NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M card.
