Shooting with the Galaxy S5
They say the best camera is the one you always have with you. I am a shutterbug and I love taking photos. I used to carry my DSLR with me most of the time, back when smartphones were still equipped with less powerful cameras. Nowadays, I only carry my smartphone. I rarely bring my DSLR these days even when attending parties or events. My smartphone is mostly all I need to get me through the day.
Aside from the processor speed and display quality, the camera’s performance, features and image quality are some of the things that I consider when choosing a smartphone. I am a Galaxy Note fan. I have been using my Note 2 for more than a year and had no intentions of replacing it until I tried out the Samsung Galaxy S5. Admittedly, my Note 2 had bigger screen and a stylus pen which came in handy. But upon testing out the Galaxy S5’s camera and other features, I was sold.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is packed with a number of features which the previous Galaxy models didn’t have including the S Health and Heart Rate sensor plus the fingerprint scanner. But it was the camera’s features and shooting modes that made me go for Sammy’s newest flagship smartphone. The IP67 certification for dust and water resistance of course was an added bonus.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 provides a number of practical shooting modes including Shot & More which takes burst shots and allows you to apply an effect after and Virtual Tour which allows you to create virtual tour shots. The camera also features Selective focus and HDR. Check out sample photos below.
