How does the Anti-Bill Shock apply to the iPad Plans

The Anti-Bill shock ensures that SMART subscribers do not get excessive data charges. For SMART iPad Plans that comes with an allocated 65 hours, users will be billed an additional (default) Anti-Bill Shock Amount of Php 500 on top of the monthly fee once they reach 115 hours of data usage .

Anti Bill Shock Example (for iPad Plan 1499)
 Allocated hours: 65 hours
Anti Bill Shock trigger: 115 hours
Default Anti Bill Shock Amount: Php 500
Total Plan on Unli (Anti Bill Shock) Php 1,999

  1. can someone explain how ’65 hours of surfing’ work? does the timer run everytime you turn on cellular data? please enlighten me. thank you! :)

  2. How come their prepaid pricing are way more expensive than those unlocked units sold at the local apple online store? I’m a bit confused.

  3. Mejo bad Pricing

    Consider this:
Kimstore sell iPad Mini Retina 16GB for 18,500
    Pay Smart 1,000 as Cashout

Lets say we’ll go Unlimited DATA for the entire 24month lockin period:
    24x 1999 = 47,976 + 1,000 Cashout = 48,976 Total Cost for 2 YRS (DATA+iPAD)
48,976 – 18,500 (cost of ipad) = 30,476 Total Cost (Total cost of DATA)
which translates to = 1269.83 Pesos Cost of DATA per Month.

Normally you can get unliDATA for around 999 pesos with Globe with free LTE hotspot too.

  4. Question lang po,, kapag naabot na ung limit na Anti-Shock bill.. na 1,999 for plan 1499.. magiging unli po ba ung data? like their previous ipad plans which has an anti-billshock feature that when reached, you’ll get the unlimited data access?

  5. Anyone knows if these iPads from SMART and GLOBE are factory unlocked?
