Sony Xperia Z1 to hit stores this Oct. 18, Friday for P34,990

Excited about Sony’s latest flagship phone? According to Sony Philippines, the Sony Xperia Z1 will hit stores this October 18, Friday with a cash SRP of Php34,990.

The Sony Xperia Z1’s claim to fame is its impressive 20.7-megapixel 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS sensor along with the first mobile phone to use the Sony G Lens, and the first Xperia phone to use Sony’s BIONZ image processor typically found on their high-end Cyber-shots and DSLRs. One of its camera’s amazing features is the Timeshift Burst mode which takes 61 images in just 2 seconds.

Not only is this just a phone with an amazing camera but it comes with top-of-the-line specs as well. It has a 5-inch Full HD display with Sony’s TRILUMINOS technology and X-Reality engine. It also uses the latest and powerful quad-core chip from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 800, along with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage plus a slot for microSD, support for LTE, NFC, and MHL.

Like most Xperia Z line of devices, the Xperia Z1 is also waterproof and dustproof. It comes in three colors: Purple, Black, and White, and fortunately, Sony PH will be bringing all three colors in our market.

    Hi Calvin,

Is this really worth of an upgrade against Xperia Z? How about comparing it with LG G2, which is better? I’m confused between Xperia Z, Xperia Z1 and LG G2. By the way, my previous smartphone was Galaxy S3. I hope you can give me some suggestions. Thanks! 😀

    • mmmm nah, too soon of an upgrade if you’re coming from an Xperia Z.

Z1 vs G2, i have to give it to the G2 just because its lighter and more compact. If size of the Z1 won’t bother you then any of the two will be a good choice.

        Hi again! 😛

I was also excited getting this phone with its top-of-the-line specs. However, I find the “non-expandable memory” and “non-removable battery” disappointing. I can forgive the non-removable battery but I m not sure Im ready to have a phone with non-expandable memory. Also, I’ve read that LG sucks at updating their phones’ software. So, there goes my dilemma…

        • well you can’t have everything. madali lang naman to work around with the 32GB eh, you just have to manage your files properly. burahin mga vids na di na kelangan. lahat naman mabagal mag update ng software unless it’s a nexus. personally, no biggie for me… happy na ako sa jelly bean.

Ok! I will definitely take note of that. Speaking of nexus phones, antayin ko na lang din siguro yun before deciding. Thank you! 😀

ang tinutukoy ko nga pala ay Nexus 5 😛

  • ouch!!!!!!!! ang mhal nmn po mg G2 nlng aq gnda p ng mga features…

    • tama ang mhal mg G2 nlng din aq ganda p ng mga features….
