The Belkin Music Receiver lets you play your iPhone music wirelessly

Ever thought of wanting to broadcast your iPhone or iPod Touch music to your home stereo without docking it? Maybe the Belkin Bluetooth Music Receiver can help you with that.

Belkin Music Receiver

The Belkin Bluetooth Music Receiver is a tiny device you can attach to your home stereo or stand-alone speakers via RCA or 3.5mm jack. It uses Bluetooth to pair with your iPhone or iPod Touch so that you can play your music wherever you are in the house. Let your tunes play in your stereo while you’re making a call from your couch or playing a game on your iPod Touch while you’re on your bed. Hosting a party? You can DJ your playlist while mingling with your guests.

According to the site, the Belkin Music Receiver is compatible with the iPhone 3G/3GS/4 and iPod Touch 2G. However, I think it can pair with your other Bluetooth devices like the iPad, iPod Touch 4G, Android phones, etc. It’s just Bluetooth anyway.

Key Features:

  • Features Bluetooth® v2.0 with EDR for superior wireless performance
  • Transmits up to 33 feet away
  • Remembers up to six paired devices
  • Cables included: 3.5mm-to-RCA & 3.5mm-to-3.5mm
  • Compatible with all devices enabled with A2DP stereo Bluetooth®
  • SRP: Php2,200

I couldn’t find more details about this. What is the power source? How is this different from Jabra bluetooth receivers such as clipper or BT3030?

    • hmmm you’re right. i think it draws power from you stereo system. the bt3030 is more for headphones if you want to hide your BT device. this one is simply for streaming music to your audio equipment.

I have the Belkin bluetooth device. It comes with a few cables; 1) a power source that plugs into your wallplug.2)two types of cables that connect to your amp and the Belkin unit itself.Just check which fits – I plugged into my Aux jack in the front of my amp. You will need to set your phone to the bluetooth pairing device each time you want to use it (not for each song just that session. A blue light comes on the unit once it is paired up. Then you go to your ipod icon on the phone choose the song/album and play awa. Works well and easily – I am not a techno wiz. Where you get it outside Australia I couldn’t say, but they are available on line too besides stores. Hope this helps, oh and I paid about $55. Geoff
