Western Digital unveils wireless home networking products

Western Digital (WD) recently launched its newest line of products as it enters the wireless home networking market here in the Philippines. Known as the world leader in external storage and the popular WD TV media players, WD unveiled the My Net family of powerful and easy-to-use home networking products.

Better User Experience

The My Net family offers HD dual-band wireless N routers integrated with its exclusive FasTrackâ„¢ technology that intelligently detects the traffic on the network and prioritizes gaming consoles, smart TVs, tablets, smart phones by maximizing bandwidth for these entertainment services.

Setting up is usually painful for novice users and the My Net products are well-thought out to enable quick router setup while also providing users to customize settings via the My Net Dashboard.

Another feature of the My Net routers is the capability for users to centralize storage and backup for all computers in their homes and at the same time create a personal cloud for their digital media. All routers are also Universal Plug and Play (UPnp) and Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) certified for easy detection and connection of Wi-Fi devices.

This is their top-of-the-line router offering accelerated HD streaming and integrated storage for wireless backup and remote access. It has a speed of up to 900 Mbps and FasTrack Plus optimization technology along with the 1 or 2 TB internal storage for automatic wireless backup.
