Western Digital’s ultraportable 500GB My Passport Edge external storage now out

If portability and a compact form is what you’re after on an external drive, you might want to check out the recently introduced My Passport Edge and My Passport Edge for Mac from Western Digital. The My Passport Edge features a sleek and ultra-slim design with a super-fast USB 3.0 interface, and 500GB capacity.

My Passport Edge for Mac has an aluminum shell and a more premium finish than its PC counterpart. It is also compatible with Apple Time Machine for added peace-of-mind and seamless operation out of the box with one’s Mac computer.

My Passport Edge for PC is more light and slightly less expensive thanks to its plastic housing. It features WD Smartware, a continuous and automatic backup software to create a copy of users’ computers’ content to ensure personal digital files are backed-up and protected at all times.

The My Passport Edge for Mac has an MSRP of Php4,790 while the PC-version of My Passport Edge goes for Php4,490. Both 500GB external drive comes with a 3-year limited warranty.

    parang mahal ng price for a 500GB. is it because of the usb 3.0 port?

      Nope, not because of that. Yung 1TB nga nila na 3.0 na din, PhP 5300-5800 lang. Malayo din price nung ibang USB 3.0 na WD na 500GB lang.
