Windows Phone Huawei Ascend W1 is free on Globe’s Plan 499

Huawei’s first-ever Windows Phone 8 handset, the Ascend W1, has landed in Globe’s device portfolio.

The Ascend W1 will be free on Globe’s best-ever MySuperPlan 499 which gives subscribers a plan value of Php900 monthly. To know how you can consume your Php900 monthly, here are the combos you can choose from.

The Huawei Ascend W1 is a 4-inch WP8 phone with an IPS LCD touchpanel and a 480 x 800 resolution for a decent 233 ppi pixel density. It is powered by Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 (Krait) processor along with 512MB RAM which should not be an issue for the platform. There’s also 4GB worth of internal storage plus support for a microSD card. There’s also a 5-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front camera, and a 1950mAh battery.

“œWe’re excited to partner with Huawei to bring the Windows Phone 8 experience to more Filipinos. Combine Windows Phone 8 with the unique features of the new HUAWEI Ascend W1 and you can have the most personal and convenient smartphone to complement your lifestyle,” said Jerry Bongco, Original Equipment Manufacturer Director, Microsoft Philippines.
