World of Warcraft Servers Halted by User Traffic

Netcraft reported that a massive influx of users, brought about by the latest expansion pack : The Burning Crusade, caused the World of Warcraft (WoW) servers to come to a halt for about an hour last Wednesday (US Time)

It was stated that the World of Warcraft game now has about 8 million registered users. The surprising thing about that is that 43.75% of that comes from China alone.

Boy, they sure do love their WoW in China. But then again, with China having 1.3 Billion of the world’s population, that would only amount to about 0.26% of their population playing WoW.
