Yahoo! OMG Awards now open for voting

It is Yahoo!’s 3rd year since it first launched the Yahoo! OMG! Awards, a unique awarding platform that recognizes the mostly-searched celebrities and emerging stars by its fans in the website. Last June 2, 2013 at the URBN Bar, Yahoo! announced this year’s nominees list.

The Yahoo! OMG! Awards Ceremony will take place on July 19, 2013 at the Mall of Asia Arena in cooperation with brands like McCafe, Magnum, Cream Silk and Colgate Optic White.

There are 22 categories with 106 nominees including all-time favorites like John Lloyd Cruz (Actor of the Year nominee), Anne Curtis (Celebrity of the Year nominee), Maya and Sir Chief (Love Team of the Year nominee). Some breakthrough artists that were nominated this year are Alden Richards, Richard Yap, Enrique Gil, Daniel Padilla, and Edgar Allan Guzman. Surprising additions to the roster include Child Star of the Year with Ryzza Mae Dizon of Eat Bulaga as a nominee.

Categories for shows include Best Teleserye and Best Noontime Show. Other non-showbiz categories include Best News and Public Affairs Show and Best Radio Show and Radio DJs (Male and Female). Fans will also be recognized through the Fan Club of the Year Award.
