Yahoo! opens Buzz to the public
Yahoo! Buzz opened its doors to the public today. The Digg-like system by Yahoo! used to be an exclusive club to a select 40 or so publishers (e.g. TechCrunch, Read Write Web, etc) when it first launch in February 2008.

Yahoo! Buzz has been touted as a more mass-market version of Digg and Yahoo has proven that it still has tons of traffic to boot. Publishers have confirmed hundreds of thousands of traffic and hundreds more of comments coming in from a Yahoo! Buzz feature.
