The stakes are getting bigger and bigger with the Yahoo! Purple Hunt 3.0. On is third edition, which is also the Family Edition, Yahoo! along with co-presenter Globe Telecom gives you a chance to win a Presidio condominium unit at Lakefront from Camella Condo Homes. Unlike the previous two campaigns, this online treasure hunt is made for the family.
Guided by three values: Pledge together; Surf together; Play together, this treasure hunt promotes responsible use of the Internet by educating parents and their children about online safety and netiquette, while having the chance to win exciting prizes in addition to the Presidio condo unit. Prizes include Globe Tattoo broadband sticks, flight tickets courtesy of Airphil Express, McDonald’s birthday party packages and mobile phones from MyPhone.
A family consisting of at least one parent and one child above the age of 13 is eligible to join the treasure hunt. Interested? Here’s how you and your family can join.
- Sign up at http://purplehunt.com.ph
- Register the whole family’s existing Yahoo! Mail accounts and identify the role of each member (e.g. father, son, mother, etc.)
- Nominate a parental/legal guardian who will be the main player for the game
- Create a team name for the family
- Pledge to Yahoo! Safely. Once the family makes the pledge, a mail will be sent to the primary player to unlock the first task
Each participating family will have a set of assignments to complete. The assignments will take treasure hunters through Yahoo! properties and other channels such as social media, mobile, offline and traditional media channels to unlock the clues.
Yahoo! has partnered with GMA Network, Magic 89.9 and Fox International Channels (Fox, Star World, Star Movies, Fox Family Movies, Fox Crime, FX, tvN, National Geographic, Channel V) to reveal clues at various times in the day. The clues are marked by Yahoo! Purple Hunt logo and will be airing together with safety messages on the radio and TV programs on partner networks.
The registration for the Purple Hunt 3.0 is set to go live this week. You might want to leave your e-mail at the site to know about it first.
