Earlier today, Globe issued a public advisory for its subscribers who may experience problems making and receiving voice calls as well as sending and receiving text messages from subscribers of Sun Cellular.
According to an initial investigation by Globe, there is a glitch in the interconnection facility of the Cellular Mobile Telephone System (CMTS) of Digitel Mobile Philippines (Sun Cellular). Globe and Sun network engineers are already working on it though to restore the interconnect to its normal level.
As a temporary solution, Globe has re-routed voice call traffic with Sun Cellular to an alternate facility to help connect calls to and from Sun Cellular subscribers. It’s just a way to alleviate the problem so you may still experience difficulties at times. Globe is asking for your patience as they work with Sun Cellular for full service restoration.
