As mentioned in a previous article, Samsung will be rolling out an Android Pie update on the Galaxy Note 9 and other Galaxy S flagship units. Also revealed in Samsung’s Developer Conference is the open beta program set to be available later this month in the United States, South Korea, and Germany. Other European and Asian countries are in line as well to experience the beta program soon.
The Android Pie update looks promising with its new intuitive design language One IU (a full replacement of Samsung TouchWiz) boasting a better night mode experience, easier one-handed navigation, and enriched application designs.
S9 and S9+ users who are interested in trying out the beta program can apply through the Samsung Members app. Upon submitting the One UI Beta Program application, they will have the opportunity to manually update the beta software.
It is yet to be announced if older Samsung mobile devices will also receive the Android Pie update.
