ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 and TF700 officially launched, keyboard dock not optional

Two ASUS Transformer Pads were launched yesterday, the high-end TF700 which is the Infinity, and its more affordable sibling, the TF300 which we did a brief hands-on back in April.

These 10.1-inch Android tablets were announced a few months ago and it’s making its way in our shelves just now with a price tag of Php37,995 for the Infinity (TF700) and Php24,995 for the TF300. Each sports the same NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and will come with its own keyboard dock for better productivity and longer battery life.

So what’s the difference between the two?

The Infinity has a more brushed aluminum Zenbook feel to it, even on its keyboard, a Full HD Super IPS+ 600 nits display, and 64GB internal storage. The Transformer Pad TF300 on the other hand has a rubbery polycarbonate lid with a plasticky keyboard, WXGA IPS display, and 32GB storage.

Here’s a more detailed specs comparison between the two:

These two tablets are worthless and useless since android does not provide a lot of apps. Without apps, a tablet is useless. How am I going to use it if I have no any apps which are optimized for this kind of tablet? Furthermore, android store is very unorganized, in which apps for mobile phones and tablets are mixed. With this high amount of price, but with dearth apps, I can say, this tablet is a fail!

      iTroll spotted?

This one can go with a keyboard and edit office documents on the go.

Limited apps for a transforming tablet? Hey its a tablet, you can take down notes, make simple movies or even just surf and chat regularly. This one can type FASTER than your touchscreen, wanna race? I have a transformer 101 and its so nice especially using a UBS 2.0 port to transfer files.

An android tablet is for the “cloud” person where the work is ergonomic based on the cloud. obviously your work is not fitted for a tablet that is why your perspective to a tablet is crap.

ngayon ka lang nagpakita… parang di na appealing 10-inches. 7-inch na ang in ngayon.

That may be true but I’m still getting a 10-inch tab. 🙂
Take a look at theBferrari’s videos on youtube. He features gaming on these tablets. If the game is not available on the play store, he sideloads it.
