Epson Philippines Corporation recently shared an overview of what lies ahead for their brand, direct from Apulit Island in El Nido, Palawan. Through a series of presentations, Epson expressed a desire to boost innovations in its various product categories. Overall, these products include inkjet printers, projectors, signage printers, and digital textile printers.
“Epson 2025”, the company’s new Vision Statement, focuses on its four key areas of innovation – Inkjet innovation, Visual innovation, Wearables innovation and Robotics innovation. In line with this, Epson aims to ‘create a new connected age of people, things and information with efficient, compact and precision technologies’ via the international market thus, helping free people from repetitive manual work and from unnecessary waste of time and effort.
To give a statistical highlight, Epson gained a 51-percent market share for Inkjet Innovations. Simply put, this means that 1 out of 2 printers sold in 2016 came from Epson. In addition, in the Professional Printers category , Epson continues to dominate and reported a 41% market share. Epson also shared that it has gained 67% market share for Visual Innovations, with education becoming more and more advanced and interactive. Moreover, Epson also takes pride in being the No. 1 POS Receipt Printer for 7 years running.
